THE STRANDED INDRA BOAT.
SCENE ON THE BEACH. (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Wanganui, June 23. A "Herald" representative, who visited the stranded liner yesterday, takes a by no means hopeful view of tho vessel s chances of refloating. At loir water, hx> says, sho appears hard and fast, and is not more than thirty yards from tho water's edge at that suite of the tid?. Jettisoning of the cargo has created a sight that must be seen to bo realised. Uhe beach, for a mile on cach side of the vessel, is strewn with cargo of all descriptions. Although tho officials still profess to bo hopeful of refloating the vessel at tho next springs, the opinion of tho majority of tho9? who visited tho scene yesterday is that it will take nothing less than a tidal wave to shift her.
