CHARGE 01? ATTEMPTED MTJRDEB. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, Jane 20. James Parker, engineer to the Pootscray Municipal Council, has been arrested on tt charge of attempting to murder James R. Knox, acting Town Clerk of Footscray. The relations between the two hare been strained for some time past, and a standup fight occurred last week. Knox's condition is serious. He waa Bhot in four places. Knox was formerly assistant engineer •under Parker.
