AUSTRALIAN MEAT TRADE.
UNITED STATES ALARMED, By Telegraph—Rress Association—Copyright Washington, Juno 19. Alarmed l at the growth of the Australian meat trade, the Department of Agriculture has issued an order that every piece of meat imported from 'Australia must be examined by local inspectors. Heretofore shipments were passed on pToof being furnished of examination, whioh consisted of a few specimens being taken at random. , The new order means a delay of three days while tho examination is proceeding, thus adding considerably to tho cost of unloading. The Ventura has arrived at San Francisco with a cargo of 1200 packages of meat.
