' X have brought tho bost team procurable with me, and it is their intention to play the game of their lives on Saturday afternoon. We have been after that shield for years, and havo spent hundreds of pounds in trying to get it, but so far without result. A\e want it m Otago just as badly this trip, and if we are not successful in taking it back with us, it will bo the last time for years to come that we will go in quest of it. We have heard a lot of Wellingtons splendid team, but I think they will meet their match this time, given'-a fine day and a m>od jTound Otago should take that shield tack with them on Saturday evening. The visitors held a practice on ltelbume Park yoster<lay afternoon, and, judging by appearances, Wellington has something to reckon with to-day.
