A large number of creditors wero present, but only four had proved. ■ Bankrupt was questioned closely regarding a motor-car on'which JJ7G was owing which he consigned to his father under threat of its being seized. The Assignee described the act as grossly improper and one which brought tho bankrupt under tho penal clause. Bankrupt's father's solicitor was com* mcncing to movo a vote of sympathy when tho two Sonter brothers, from whom tho car was purchased, jumped up and said they would leave the meeting if tho motion was put. An angry sceno followed, during which the Souters quitted tho room, calling out excitedly: "You now have no quorum; it is no meeting." When they had gono two other creditors proved tlioir claims, and a motion Was carried to tho effect that no action be taken under the penal clauses, and that bankrupt's discharge be facilitated.
