WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. RESULTS OF MATCHES. Potono 3 Pakelia A ....... 3 Artillery 1 Hui Mai 1 Ilereawa 5 Pakeha B 0 Tho second series of games in the secround of tho mid-week hockey competition were played yesterday afternoon. In tho match Petone-Pakeha. A tho play was very oven, and tho game resulted in a draw, thanks chiefly to Beswick <Petono) whose goal-keeping was first class. In general Artillery had all the better of matter.-; with Hui Mai. The latter had a little tho better of the first spell, but, in tho second half Artillery played with much better combination and had- things pretty much as thoy pleased. At ono stago they .scored three goals in as many minutes. The mntoh ended in- favour of Artillery by four goals to 1. Although Hereawa defeated Pakeha B by 5 goals to nil, tho losers put up a great fight and, had .they possessed any strength in attack within the circle, the margin would have been much smaller. In tho open I'nkeha were quite as good ns their opponents, but in the circles tho older team had all tho better of the play. All threo games wero played at Karori. PETONE & PAKEHA A. Pakeha had the better of the opening and a few minutes after the start Sheeran scored. Piny for a time was then very even, but, at length, M'Killop, by fast following-up, notched the second goal for l'akoha. From this out Pctono took cliargo and rattled on three goals in quick lime, W. M'Ewan, llowp, and Cavill scoring in that order. In the second spell play travelled from end to end every few' minutes. Just before time M'Killop, for Pakeha, evened up the score and the gamo ended in a draw. Mr. Manning was referee.

ARTILLERY & HUI MAI. In tho first spell Hui Mai had tho better of tho game arid Artillery were lucky Li sa<vo on several occasions. Hill tilui Mai) scored tho only goal. In the second half Artillery turned the tables, and romped over their opponents, scoring 4 gc.als. Gk-eson (2), James (1), and Fitzgerald (1) scored in that order. Artillery thus won by 4 goals to 1. Mr. M'Kenzie was referee.

HEREAWA & PAKEHA' B. Hereawa opened well and a few minutes after the start. Kuch broko away and scored. Pakeha then put more dash into the game for the .balance of iho spell and made many attempts to score, but without success. In the second spell Pakeha kept their opponents busy for some time, but the better combination of Hereawa eventually prevailed. Scores were added by Kuch, Robinson, Boyd, awl Robinson in that order and tho game ended in favour of Hereawa by 5 goals to nil. Mr. J. C. Cusack was referee.
