As a preliminary, it is understood that arrangements have been mado for a well-known official of tho lino to prooeed shortly to both Canada and/ America, and rumour hae it that the first object of his visit will be to arrange for extensive additions to the fleet now on both the San Francisco and Vancouver runs. As an incontivo to expansion, the Canadian Pacific Railway Company are interesting themselves, lending assistance in the shape of a fine vessel or else by payment of a subsidy, so advices received indicate.
