EARTHQUAKES IN THE BALKANS.
DAMAGE AND LOSS OP LIFE. By Taleeriph—Press Association—Copyright Belgrade, June 16. There have teen, several' earthquake shocks at Tirnova, a Bulgarian town, with subterranean rumblings throughout the day. Great panic was caused in the churches, and other buildings, which were badly damaged. Many houses are uninhabitable. A number of deaths were due to falling masonry. Most of the bakeries were destroyed, and bread had to be obtained from neighbouring villages.
