FEDERAL ELECTIONS. HUME COUNT UNFINISHED. By Telesrajli-Fress Association—Oojrrialt (Rec. Juno 17, 0,30 a.m.) Sydney, Juno 16. The Hume count is not yet finished. ALLEGED IMPERSONATION. DECEASED ELECTORS RECORDED. Sydney, Juno 16. The latest figures have lightly improved tho position of the Liberal candfdato for the Hume seat in tho Federal Parliament. The Sydney newspapers give numerous instances of alleged abuses of the Ballot, quoting actual instances of impersonation, or cases where alleged voters are known, to havo been absent from their districts for years, and in some instances to be dead. (Reo. June 16, p.m.) Sydney, June 16. Reports from El Paso, in Texaß, state in, Mr. G. M. Burns's (Labour) election for Illawarra, and Mr. D. C. M'Grath'a (Labour) return for Ballarat are now beyond question, the defeated Liberals being G. W. Fuller (Illawarra) and H. F. M'lCay (Ballarat). For the Senate, the Labour bunches load in Queensland, South Australia, Westralia, while the Liberals lead in New South Wales, Tasmania, and are safe in Victoria. Senator Russell (Labour) and J. H. M'Coll (Liberal) are assured of positions for the third place. C. C. Salmon (Liberal) has still a chance against Barnes (Labour).
Tho Referenda vote is now approaching a million, and on all questions tho "Noes" have an increasing lead.
