ASSASSINS ARRESTED. A SHARP FIGHT. CITY HOUSE BESIEGED. By TelecraDh—Press Association—Oopyrig-hl (Eec. June 16, 0.30 a.m.) Constantinople, Juno 15. The arrest of tho supposed assassins of tho.lato Grand Vizier, Shevket Pasha, has lx»n effected under sensational circumstances. The military surrounded the house of a British subjoct at Pera, in winch. Zia Bey, with several accomplices, had taken rofiigo. 1 The troops fired a fusilado, and Zia Bey replied, wounding Lieutenant Hilmi and Samuel Effendi, a Magistrate. The block of buildings was surrounded by a detaohment of infantry and oavalry, While soldiers, gendarmes, and firemen climbed the adjacent roofs. Tho assassins refused to surrender, and fired at tho troops with revolvers. The fusilado lasted an hour, until tho back-stairs of tho house were captured, and aji entrance was also mado through the roof. Ali Bey, Itazin Effendi, and Cheoki then surrendered. None of the assassins had been wounded. The arrests now total 150, and it is believed that all havo now been captured. Ali Bey is a firo brigade lieutenant, and Kazim Effendi is a Circassian captain. Several Mauser rifles and pistols were found in tho house. Talaat Bey and Enver Boy fear that they will bo murderod, and elaborate precautions liavo boon token to ensure their safety. It is stated that Shovket Pasha received a warning on the (lay previous to his murdar; but did not heed it. He deprecated the adoption of special precautions for his safety. ; It is believed that the authors of the crime had also plotted the assassination of loading Ministers.
