LEVIN COMPETITIONS.
The third annual festival of tho above society is to be held on July 15 to July 17 (inclusive). There aro many, who cannot compete in larger competitions, because of the distance to be travelled, and the time occupied. But such persons could it is urged, easily get away for a short holiday, involving three days, to an attractive town like Levin, within three hours of Wellington. This young society has shown great enterprise in the number and variety of its classes, and deserves commendation for the encouragement it gives to amateur as against professional talent. Entries close with tho organiser, Mr. Kenneth Aitken, Levin, on Saturday next, June 2. There will be excursion fares to. Levin from July, 12 to July 21 (inclusive) throughout the North Island for competitors, parents and guardians.
