The "Daily Mail's" New York correspondent states that Mr. Thorncroft, a Melbourne lawyer, has visited Dr. S. Hingley, at Wellston, Ohio, and notified him that he is heir to -£200,000 left by tho lato Charles Froelich. Dr. Hingley lent .2140 to Froelicli when the latter was a farm le.<l a quarter of a century ago, and this sum enabled him to enter an engineering college.
