The result of the polling at tho byelection for tho Wandsworth seat, rendered vacant by the retirement, owing to ill-health, of Sir Henry Ember (Unionist), was a 9 follows :— Samuel (Unionist) 13,125 Havelock Wilson (Labour) 7,088 Unionist majority 6,337 (Rec. June 13, 0.30 p.m.) London, June 13. The Wandsworth election contest was confined to two issues—Welsh Disestab-. lishraent and Irish Home Rule, Tho Conservative majority at the last general election was 4C14, when Sir Henry lumber (who represented tho constituency since 1885), defeated Mr. James Fairbairu, tho Labour candidate, by 15,168 votes to 10,551.
