TO-DAY'S PAPER.
"THE DOMINION'S" RECORD ISSUE TO DATE. Today's issue of Tnn Dominion comprises 31 pages, and is ono of tlio largest KiiJffto issues ever published by any daily newspaper in New Zealand. It is designed to direct attention to tho need for a general forward movement for bettering the conditions of country life as a whole, and checking the steady drain of population from country to town, which tho statistics of rcccnt years reveal. Tho issito is divided into three sections: the first, comprising twelve pages, contains the ordinary news of tho day, anil the usual shipping, commercial, and woman's world pages; tho second section, also of twelco pages, is devoted to spceial articles dealing with tho needs of country settlers at tho present time, and other topics of rural interest; thn third section, comprising ton pages, contains a variety of mattors on topics, of interest to country readers, such as rural libraries, tho country school, and the country church's work, a short story, and miscellaneous matter. On tho first page of this section ia a scries of questions to which—with tho explanatory matter oh the page—the attention of farmers and others is especially directed. Tho usual Saturday "World of Sport" section will bo found on Pago 30, and "Books and Authors," "Tho Theatre," and "Music," on Page 33.
