HUTT VALLEY NURSERIES.
' Mr. Thomas Waugh's Huit Valley Nurseries are situated two miles from tho Lower Hutt Post Office in Park Avenue. Buses pass the grounds, and, with the exception of Sunday, the Nurseries are open to all interested in horticulture. The stock of roses, fruit trees, shrubs, and forest trees, is exceptionally fino this year, and there is also an excellent variety of bulbs, roots, and corns. If orders are mailed, tho nursery proprietor will bo pleased to quote any quantity. : The delicate green-house pot-plants, now ready for tho maiket, are superb. Some of these plants produce beautiful flowers, while others have very ornamental foliage, and all are stated to be hardy.
Now that the planting season is at hand, the farmer, or the suburban resident, needs some fruit trees or a hedge, and tho Hutt Valley Nurseries is the place to get them. As an indication of the extensive business carried on by Mr. Waugh, it may fce stated that orders are received from all parts of the world, and at present an order of 1000 apple trees is being dispatched to Buenos Ayres.' In order to copo with.all requirements, the staff has bsen increased, and tho nurseries enlarged by several acres.
To maintain a high standard_ for weight ir.d character in our commercial geldings t is of tho utmost importanco to mate 11 ares with stallions having tho essential •loints of the draught horse.
