The "Herald" states that at an advance of lOd. per lb. for butter-fat from May 1 to May 31, the Nireahn, Dairy Company will pay out 9s. lid. The position of manager of the cheese factory has not yet been filled. There aro 15 applicants for the post. . The first annual "social" of the Koitawa Ladies' Morris Tube Club was held at the Kaitawa Hall on Wednesday night. Tho music was supplied by Messrs. h. Larsen, C. Hansen, C. Mills, Misses Armstrong, L. M. and L. I. Ross, and Messrs. Hughes and I'uru. The M.C. was Mr. 1. Guerin. Miss E. Kcrrklge was a capable secretary. Songs were given by the Misses F. and N. Kerridgo and . Miss Dcmpsey, and a recitation by Miss A. Taylor. Supper was provided by members of the club. During the evening Mr. A. Knox presented trophies to members.
