The discovery on a farm at Bonner Springs, Kansas, of a cistern filled inth hard cider has solved a mystery that has been baffling, tho local police authorities for more than a year. t There had been frequent complaints ot many men and boys living in tho vicinity of the farm having been ruined bv strong drink but the utmost vigilance failed to locate the source of their linuor supply. The mvsterv was sobed only when one of the 'District Attorney's officers, dis--rniied as a labourer, got a ]ob on the farm, and was let into the secret.— Sydney "Sun."
