Speaking at tho Australasian Banquet, Lord Chelmsford (sometime Governor of New South Wales) said that he had been greatly impressed with the lead Australia had given the Mother Country in connection with tho defence question. Ho hoped that Englishmen would come to realiso that everyono ought to sacrifice himself for his country, and do what Australians were doing.
