CONSTABLE SMYTH.

HIS DISMISSAL ORDERED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Grcymouth, Juno 11. Constable Smyth has received notico of dismissal from the Polico Force. Ho was recently transferred to Grcymouth from Auckland, allegedly on account of his efforts on behalf of tho Polico Association. Tho constable explained to a "Star" reporter that ho was on duty 011 tho wharf watching timljer trucks on account of reported thefts of timber, and mistook tho timo for 5 o'clock, and at 4 a.m. went to tho station and signed tho book. Ho was reported to headquarters, and will be dismissed on Saturday next for leaving duty and making a false entry in tho book.
