CONSCRIPTION.

Sir, —"1T.L.J1." in this morning's paper quotes, "When a strong man, armed, keepath his palace, his geeds are in peace," intending to convey that conscription is as a strong man armed. The argument, scan in the right light, is just fc contrary. If the strong man took the "snooker" by the neek and said, "Itold this gun," that, would be the parallel cf conscription. Delegating one's duties weakens, not strengthens, a man.— I am, etc., HENRY BODLEY. Juno -1, 1913.
