BAD BUSINESS.
Sir,—Are the hoteikccpers of Wellington business men? it seems to me, a visitor to Wellington, that there is room to doubt. All over Wellington one will, in the evening, see men, and even women, nioro than "half-seas over." I refer more particularly to Willis Street. Then, it is not at all uncommon for a drunken wrangle to be carried on in the street between a woman and some man. Such a state of affairs must disgust all moderate people, and is putting a handle into the hands of the rabid prohibitionists, and if a change is not made, will cause the ruin of'tho hotel business. Cannot the bettcrclass publicans of Wellington combine to keep the undesirables of the liquor-sellers ill lino.—l am, etc., A VISITOR.
