♦ LAXITY OF BRITISH OFFICIALS 'ALLEGED. By Telegraph—Press Assooiation-Oopyrfelit London, Juno 8. The "Daily Chronicle" publishes statements by Dr. Fraser, a medical missionary at Lushni, Assam, accusing British officials of couutenanoing slavery. He alleges that families have been ruthlessly sundered' and sold to chiefs. ' Dr. Eraser has charged the authorities with banning him and interfering with the customs of the country.
