RAILWAY APPEAL BOARD.

The Railway Appeal Board concludcd its sitting last evening. Dr. A. M'Arthur, S.M., presided, and he had with- him as assessors Messrs. C. J. Ryan (first division) and D. Dwyer (second division). . Thomas Dunne, porter, appealed agamst his dismissal from tho service as being unsuitable. ~ Mr. J. Muck represented the appellant, and Mr. 11. Davidson appeared for tlio Railway Department. Several witnesses gave ovidenco to tho effect that the appellant had not proved satisfactory at liis work. • lie had been given every opportunity to improve, but he was quite unsuited for railway work. "Appeal unanimously disallowed" was the decision of tho board.
