PRE-SESSIONAL ADDRESS.
(By Telegraph.—Frees Association.) Gisborne, June 7. Mr. W. D. M'Donald, mombcr for tho Bay of Plenty, delivered a prc-sessional address, criticising tho Government on tho matters of land settlement, finance, Native lands, and public works. Ho stated promises of extensive settlement had not been realised, and he would movo for a return showing that the wish had been for the freehold. contended, though in a minority in tho House, tho Liberal party was in a majority in tho country. Tho Government liad not been pushed for finance, and the suspension of public works was unjustifiable.
