At a dinner given, by the Imperial Airfleet Committee, Lord Desborough, President of tho Chamber of Commerce, formally ' presented the gift aeroplane to tho Hon. T. Mackenzie, High Commissioner for New Zealand. Ho eulogised New Zealand's enterpriso in accepting tho gift, and hoped that it would be tho forerunner of similar presentations to other overseas Dominions, so inaugurating an Empire air-fleet. Mr. Mackenzie thanked the Committee for the gift. Sir Joseph Ward proposed the toast of "Commerce." Ho urged that Britain, Canada, and New Zealand should arrange a twenty-ono days' steam service between Great Britain and New Zealand,
