LOBBYING SENATORS.
SHADOWED BY DETECTIVES. By TelssraDh—Proß» Association—OowrlcM (Rce. Juno 6, 11.30 p.m.) Washington, Juno 6. The Senate Committee, wliich is investigating the matter,' has been informed that there has been persistent lobbying againstftho Wool and Sugar Bills. Senators, in evidence, specified instances where improper / pressure had been brought to bear upon them, to prevent them voting with the Democrats in favour of free wool. They stated that detectives frequently, shadowed Senators, with a view to discovering anything that might bo used against them.
