A FACTORY FIRE.
CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE. Shortly after six o'clock last night tho City Fire Brigade received a Melaido lload, where a fm> had broken out iu a factory occupied by Messrs. Chas. 11. Harris Mid Co., art funnshei;, and mantelpiece niaiiuf acturers, Jno fi,ro started in tho machine room on tho ground floor, and this iwm was damaged bv iiro and tho contents of tho rooms above by heat and'smoke. Iho fire was soon suppressed. Tho contents of tbc building were insured for X9OO in the Alliance Company, but insurances on tho building, which belongs to Ml. Mar tin Kennedy, were not available last night. OUTBREAK AT VOGELTOWN. At 8 8 p 111. the brigade were tailed out to n firo which had broken out in a sixroomed residence at Vweltown, owned' and occupied by Mr. John btaplos. Ilia house was badly damaged by firo. Owm* to the absence of the occupants, the nsuranees wore not available lust night.
