A sensational political, trial of tho Opposition Deputy Desy, on a charge of libelling Dr. Lndislas Lukncs (the Hungarian Premier), whom he described as tho greatest corruptionist in Europe, has just ended. Desy accused the Premier of corruptly u.ving large sums advanced by banking and other institution, for tho Government's electoral campaign. The trial resulted in an acquittal. The judgment of tho Court stated that Jjukacs accepted ,£125,000 sterling from the Bank of Hungary for party purposes. The Cabinet has resigned.
