The course was in good order. The totalisator investments were ,£17,051, as compared with .£17,112 10s. last year. Parable was the first to break the lino from an even start, and going past tho mile post the order was Parable, Daringdale, Seekashore, and Gapon, The Cornet bringing up the rear. Glenfinnan commenced to improve his position as they ran paßt the six-furlong post, the field running in close order. At the far turn Gapon headed Parable, and Daringdalo dropped back. Gapon landed in the straight a length in front of Seekashore, and won by two lengths. The Cornet was over three lengths away third. Time, 2min. 17 2-ssec.
