MAYOR AND COMMISSIONER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright , (Eec. June 3, 10.45 p.m.) i New York, June 8. The Aldermanic Committee, which is investigating the polico conditions, havo recommended the removal from office of Polico Commissioner Waldo, on the ground of unfitness. Tho Committee asserted that Mayor Gaynor upheld Commissioner Waldo in everything, and that consequently reforms were impossible.
Next to Yorkshire, Lincolnshire. ia the largest county in England, whilst Lancashire- can claim a bigger population, than any other county.
