As the result of his daughter's accusation, Captain Sanchez has confessed to the ■ murdering of Zalon (a wealthy resident of Madrid, whose mutilated remains were found between the walls of a riding school). His daughter was arrested while attempting to change Zalon's casino gambling counters to tfyo value of fve thousand pesetas. Sanchez was formerly acquitted at Corunna on a charge of murdering a man 'who disappeared, after drawing a large sum. A' fresh search revealed human remains under Siinchez's house at Corunna.
