Four officers forced Red! to sign his resignation from the army beforo he was loft with a Browning revolver. The conduct of tire military authorities in compelling Red! to commit suicide has been sharply criticised. It is suggested that a trial might have revealed important clues. TRAITORS BETRAYED. (Rec. Juno 2, 11.40 p.m.) Vienna, June 2. General Hotzendorf. Chief of the General Staff, and General von Gierelingen,- commander of the Prague ATmy Corps, have resigned in connection with the Redl incident. General Hotzendorf's resignation has not been accepted. Redl denounced the Russian officers who sold information to Austria, and his exposure was due to 1 the vengeance of a betrayed Russian officer.
