The Hamburg-American Imperator, 50,000 tons, tho largest ship in tho world, is lying off a desolate part of tho coast at Cuxhaven. There are mysterious rumoura that oostly carpets and furniture have been hacked to pieces, that liquid cement has been poured in to the water-pipes and allowed to harden, rendering tho water system useless. Two thousand workmen are aboard, and are suspected of perpetrating tho outrages.
