TENNIS CONTEST,

THE NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. The ljuartorly meeting of tho New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association was held lost evening. Tho following delegates were present Messrs. H. 51. Gore (chairman), R. St. licore, D. 51. Keau (Wellington), T. White-Parson's (Canterbury), P/Grady, l'\ 1\ Wilson (Hawko's Bav), A. L. Berry (Otago), ]?. A. Le'wis (Southland), A. 'G. Dixon, M. E. Dennislon, L. G. Muckay (Taranaki), and 13. R. Keesing (Auckland). Tho report of tho Management Committee said that tho Association had «tatpd that tho estimated proceeds of the lour -of tho British team through Australasia would amount to ,C2IOO. The West Australian Association had asked the New Zealand Association to support a proposal that the proceeds should 1)8 distributed amongst tho various associations affiliated to tho J cuius Association of Australasia. New Zealand's delegates to the Australasian Association had been requested to watch New Zealand's interests, and informed that tile New Zealand Association favoured a distribution, but desired to leavo the apportionment to the Australasian Association. The following tournaments were authorised:—Hawked Bay Club's tournament, March 22-24. at Napier; West Const Association's tuornament. March 21. 22. 24. at Reefton: Marlborough Association's tournament, March 21, 22, 24, at Blenheim.
