! EXAMINATION DATES. [ Notice is given in the Gazette that the . undermentioned examinations will be held , on the dates specified in each easo:— Intermediate competitive (Lducation I Board senior scholarship examination)— 1 On or about November 18, 1913, and folf lowing days. ~t- , Intermediate non-competitive, for senior [ free places in secondary schools and dis- ' trict high schools and for the first exainin- ' ntion of pupil-teachers—On or about Novcinber 19, 1913, nnd following days. Junior National Scholarship—On or ; about November 27 and 28, 1913. Junior free place (including the examination for junior free places in techni--1 cal schools)—On or about November 27 and 28. 1913. Teachers' certificate examination. Class C aud Class D—On or about January 5, 191-1, and following days.' The Civil Service junior (public service cutrance) examination being now confined exclusively to candidates desirous of- entering the Public Service, scholarship s candidates who aro required by the vart ions scholarship regulations to take this . examination will now enter as intermeI diote competitive candidates. f Entries lor junior national scholarships 3 and junior free places) and for tho first s examination of pupil teachers must be : made through the principals or head f teachers of the schools attended, and will - be received by secretaries of education 1 boards not later than September 15. l 1913. Junior scholarship and junior fm s place entries received after that date can J be accepted only with the consent of the 1 Miration Department, which, if satisfied s in any special case that there has been f reasonable ground for the delay, may - allow not more than seven days of grace. Late entries for the first examination of pupil teachers can be accepted only f under conditions applicable lo the inter- , mediate examination. Entries for the intermediate competitive ' and non-competitive examinations will be received by the Inspector-General of s .Schools, Wellington, until September IS, J 1913, or, with a late fee of .El, until the r September 22, 1913. Entries for the teachers' C and D Cer- , tificatc Examinations will be received by , tho Inspeotor-General of Schools, Welling- . ton, until October 15, 1913, or, with a - late feo of ,£1 in addition to tho ordinary fee, until October 31, 1913. For scholarship and free place entries, and for entrance to the first examination i of pupil teachers, no entrance fee is payable. All entries must be made on tho pro- ' per forms, which may be obtained after ' July 1, from tho office .of any education ' board or of the Education Department.
