London, May 29. Owing to labourers' strikes for the grouting of a minimum wage, 25,000 tube workers in tho Midlands havo been throw u idle.
CARTERS SPRING A SURPRISE. London, May 28. A surprise strike of carters at Bradford has taken place, contrary to tho leaders' advice. Two thousand strikers paruled the streets, and preveutcd others fmm working. (Roc. May 29, 11.20 p.m.) London, May 29. Three thousand carters at Sheffield havo struck. A total of 3000 men are concerned in the Bradford strike. LOCKED OCT. (Rec. May 29, 11.20 p.m.) / London, May 29. Four thousand ironmoulders at Falkirk havo been locked out. SUMMONSES ISSUED. Sydney, May £0. Seventy summonses under the Arbitration Act have been issued against participants in the late ferries strike.
