FOR MANSLAUGHTER,

(Rec. May 28, 9.50 p.m.)
Ottawa, Mny 28. A Coroner's jury at Calgary returned a verdict that Luther M'Carty, the boxer, who, during a ten-round bout with Arthur Pelkcy, fell dead after, it was alleged, being hit over the heart, had been accidentally killed, and exonerated Pelkey, his opponent. Death was due to dislocation of the neck.
The magistrate at Calgary has 'ommitted "Tommy" Burns and Pelkey p or trial on a charge of the manslaughter of M'Carty, thus ignoring the Coroner's verdict.
The accused were admitted to bail. The police deny that tho fight was unlawful or a prize-fight, such as the Canadian law prohibited. A full investigation of the death of M'Carty was, however, necessary.
