Mr. Lewis Harcourt, Secretary of State for the Colonies, has instructed Governors to enact the regulations made in January last to prevent retiring Governors or other colonial officers in Crown colonies and protectorates becoming directors or employees of companies operating in the colony which they just left, without the new Governor's permission.
