BEE HAM POKE BAKERS. (before Mr. AV. G. Riddell, S.M.) A. AV. Lister, timber-yardman, sued G. K. Mathieson (in business at Newtown as a baker) for £44 IBs. Gd., balance alleged to be payable in respect of plaintilfs share in a business as bakers and confectioners carried on by both parties at iJerhamporo. Mr. Kennedy appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. M'Grath for t'ho defendant. , J udgmciit was given for defendant, with costs.

John Henry Simpson, fruiterer, of Kilbirr.io, fined the New Zealand Emit and Produco Co. for £i 10s. damages for alleged failure to deliver eight bags of potatoes. The sum oi' .£4 2s. Bd. had been paid in advance fcr tho potatoes by the plaintiff. Judgment was given fcr plaintiff for M 2s. Sd., which amount had been paid into court. CASES BY DEFAULT. AA T . G. Ruldell, S.M.) Patrick Rice, deemed to bo a rogue and a vagabond, was convicted and ordered to como up for sentence when called upon. Mr. O'Leary appeared for accused. ' Daisy Simmelhag, alias M'Neill, 30 years '< f age, was charged with being "a rogue and a vagabond. On the application of Sub-Inspector Shcchan, she was remanded until June 2. William M'Donald was lined 10s. on a charge of insobriety.
