The Dr. Sherman method of treating rupture is diametrically different to the ordinary truss method, which, exerting a downward "spreading" pressure, absolutely prevents healing, as it pushes the ruptured walls apart. Thus, when once worn, it has to be worn practically a liietime. On an exactly opposite principle, the Dr. Sherman method exerts an upward "contractile" pressure, holding the injured membrane in such a way that it heals; and this healing is aided by the application of a useful adjunct m the form of a curative compound. The result is startling. Belief is instant, and instead of tho rupture remaining stationary or growing worse, it gradually becomes smaller, and ultimately disappears. _ Xhis has been proved ill cases of 10, 20, 30. 40, and 50 years' standing. The following testimonial is only-one of many pacing tiibutes to the efficacy of the Dr. J. A. Sherman method of curing rupture, and bearing out tho foregoing statements:— 122 Nith Street, tnvercargill. October lb\ 1912. "A. W.
