FEILDING A. & P. SOCIETY.
: 'ANNUAL MEETING. At the twelfth annual meeting of the Fcilding A. and P. Association, tho report and balance-sheet (particulars of which have alleady been published in ■The Dominion) showed that the affairs of the association were in a healthy condition. In formally moving the adoption of tho report and balance-sheet, the president (Mr. E. Short) considered tho association was im a fortunate position to bo able to present such a favourable balanccsheet. The committee foresaw the necessity for the erection of a new stock pavilion, which cucouraged owners of valuablo stock to bring their animals forward. Tho 'increased paddock accommodation, by the purchase of another 18 acres of land, was necessary, and tho association could now offer competitors accommodation as good as that of any show in tho Dominion. The prizes last year were above that of previous years. > The coinmitteo had derided to instnl water troughs in all tho paddocks. Indications for next year's show pointed to another record show of livo stock. Auckland was straining every nervo to obtain a good entry next year, and Feikling should 1» able to catch a number of those entries on tlnoir return southwards. It was hardly fair that donors should be asked to contribute so largely each year, and tho members should do their utmost to enrol new members. Itefcruce was mado. to the successful inauguration of a West Coast ram fair, to to bo held at Foilding and Pnlmerston alternately. Tho fair was noted for the quality of sheep offered. Tho question of increased revenue, without having to rely to much on donations, was worthy of ■ investigation.' Donors liad supported tho association rigljt royally, nnd as long ns donors nnd committee pulled together tho show should continue to prosper. Feilding show offered a splendid recruiting ground For ombrvo stud-masters. Mr. Ifaggitt seconded the motion, and in doing so said tho balance-sheet showed a gradual increase, in. all items of revenue. This was encouraging, nnd showed that tho public appreciated tho presence of tho show. The expenditure showed an increase, but a large amount is not recurring. Tlio report and balance-sheet were unanimously adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. .7. 11. Perrett, Sandon; General Committee, Messrs. TI. Tlurroll, .T. G. Cobbe, U. Short referred to the capabilities of Mr. Fisher as secretory, who was a splendid officer, full of energy and initiative. The speaker- proposed a Ixnius of t C2o b? voted. Mr. J. H. Perrett seconded tho motion, which was carried unanimously.
