RUGBY REFEREES.

The Wellington Rugby Referees' Association met in tho Sports Federation Rooms last evening, Mr. D. M'Kenzio presiding. , „ ~ , . Mr. L. Simpson wrote forwarding his resignation as a member of the association. In his letter he stated that he had always tried to do his best for tho garao on or off the field, but that evidently he had failed, and badly at that.

General regret was expressed at Mr, Simpson's decision, and the chairman and secretary were instructed to approach him and ask him to withdraw his resignation. „ _ ■*

On the motion of Mr. Taylor, Mr. Fordyce seconding, Mr. C. Slattery was elected as a member of the association.
