DEATH IN A LEAGUE GAME.
PLAYER'S SPINE INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Prera Association.) Auckland, May 2G. After participating in a football match at Ellerslie 011 Saturday, Adolphus 'Theodore Bast, twenty-six years of ago, died yesterday from injuries received while playing in a game. Deceased was playjug in tho third grade Northern Union match for Blcrslie against llonsonby. In the courso of the game lib cgllidrd with another player, and fell to tho ground with him. A third player then fell 011 top of the other two men. Bust was uuablo to rise, and it was scon that ho was severely injured. Dr. Babor, who was summoned, expressed tlio opinion that tho young fellow's spine was seriously affected, and ordered his removal lo his home. Yesterday morning the unfortunate young man died, death being duo to concussion of tho spine. Deceased was tho second son of Mr. F. R. Bust, lato of Wellington, and a brother of Mrs. J. H. Arthur, Riddiford .Street.
