Kaiser's only daughter, and Princp Krneit Augustus of Cumberland took placi at five o'clock this afternoon. The procession was of the most brilliant description. It was headed by tho bridal couple, followed by tho Kaisor and tho Duchess of Cumberland, tho lvai,serin and tho Duko of Cumberland, tho Tsar and Queen Jla'y, King George and the Crown Princess, and other members of tho various Royal houses. The procession proceeded from the castle gates to the chapel, which, ivas filled with notabilities. ' Tho ceremony was performed by tho Rev. Dr. D. Dryandar, principal preacher to the Court. A congratulatory reception followed, and then the State banquet, to which twelve hundred guests sat down. The Kaiser in a moving speech addressed the couple on the great rok of tho Gueiphs and Hohenzollerns in shaping tho history of the Fatherland. He dwelt on the duties and privileges.of homo life, and begged the Duke and Ducliess oi Cumberland to tako his daughter under their loving protection. Enormous crowds cheered the pair as they wero proceeding to Hubertusstock for their honeymoon. The Tsar has departed homewards. The Royalties and all the notables of the Umpire last night attended a gala performance of "Lohengrin" at tho Royal Opera House. The auditorium was garlanded with myrtle, smothered with carnations, which is Princess Victoria's favourite flower. The staircases and corridors were also lined with roses and carnations. Tho wedding presents wero valued at half a million sterling.
KELCOME TO KING GEORGE. GROWING IN WARMTH Berlin, May 23. The whole population is absorbed. in the Royal wedding. Popular imagination has been quickened by the reconciliation of the Houses of Hohenzollern and Hanover.
The newspapers note the growing warmth of the welcome to tho British Sovereign wherever he appears.
At one place, when King George and Queen Mary were being driven through tho streets, a huge cliowd hemmed in the King's motor-car, waving hats and cheering for five minutes. Many attempted to shake the hands of tho King and Queen. Their Majesties' visit to Gruenwald Racecourse was greatly appreciated.
King George, in receiving a British, deputation, said: "Wo are pleased to be tho guests of this great friendly nation. By fostering kindly relations you will help to assnro the peace of tho world, the preservation of which is ray fervent desire, as it was the chief aim of my father's life."
