WORDS OP CHRIST.
NEW VERSUS FOUND. London, May 12. The fac-simile of tho Greek manuscripts of the Gospels found in Egypt, has been bought by a rich American, Freer, who has made it availablo for inspection. It appears to contain a new saying of Christ. The text of tho sixteenth chapter of St. Mark includes after verso 14 some verses which have also boon found in another manuscript of the New Testament. These words are given as coming from the mouth of Christ: "Tho limit of years of tho power of Satan is not fulfilled, but it draweth near. For tho sako of those that havo sinned was I given up unto death that tbey may return unto the truth and sin no more, but may inherit spiritual and incorruptible glory of righteousness in heaven." Tho manuscript dates either from the fourth or fifth century. It _ provides Biblical scholars with much important new material, particularly of the texts of St. John nnd St. Luke.—Sydney "Sun."
