MR. E. SHORTS STUD CLYDESDALES. The three days' dispersal salo of Mr. E. Short's stock was concluded on Thursday, when tho stud Clydesdales were offered, by auction at the stud farm "Almadalo." As on tho previous two days, when the sheep and cattle were offered, there was .a good attendance, and for brood mares particularly purchasers obtained excellent stock at mediocro prices. Interest centred in tho appearance of the champion stallions, but several notable prize-winners wero passed in, as tho prices offered did not reach the estimated values. Mr. Alf. Rcid, of Napier, and Mr. Norman Gorton wielded the hammer in experienced strle, and their efforts greatly stimulated tho bidding. Tho following were tho priccs realised:— Mares and Fillies.
