SIR WILFRID LAURIER'S TACTICS.
By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright Ottawa, May 22. • Sir Wilfrid Laurier, Leader of tho Opposition, is using his influence to secure an adverse vote in .the Sonato on tho Naval measure, which, provides for the gift of three battleships, at a cost of .-£7,000,000, to the Navy. It is understood that the Bill will bo amended to provide for an appeal to the people before it is passed into law.
