SUFFRAGETTES' MONSTROUS DOINGS.

Miriam Pratt, agod twenty-three, a schoolmistress, arrested yesterday for incendiarism at Cambridge, was brought before tho Police Court, and remanded, bail being refused. She left Norwich, after telling her uncle, who is a policeman, that she was going to distribute leaflets m connection with tho Cambridgeshire Parliamentary election. When she returned her uncle found that his watch was missing, and, learning that a watch had been found at Storey's-way. taxed' his niece with taking it. In addition to tho Storey's-way outrage, a ladder bound with flannelette and saturated with paraffin was found at another Cambridge house. . A timber-yard at Kilburn was fired, considerable damage being dono.

£3000 WORTH OF DAMAGE. INCENDIARY WITH FALSE BEARD. London, May 22. A store belonging to the Westminster Wood Paving Company at Fulham was set on fire. It burned for six hours. A man named Sidney Vigors, aged 54 years, was arrested on suspicion, and remanded. The damage caused by the hre is estimated at Suffragist literature was discovered near the premises.

The accused man Vigers was wearing a false beard when arrested. He was a Flooring Company manager. He will bo charged with arson with intent to cheat and defraud. An inquiry as to the state of his mind has been ordered.
