A MOTOR BANDIT.
DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE.

A Belgian deserter named Duvignon was tho perpetrator of tho murderous motor-car outrage at Senlis on M. Dardenne, manager of a motor firm.
Under the pretext that he desired to buy a motor-car, tho bandit lured M. Dardenne to take him out for a drive, and then fired a number of sliots from a revolver at the motor manager, severely
wounding him. Duvignon. who then bolted with tile car, was arrested, but managed to jump through a window, and fled.
Ho was repeatedly fired at by his pursuers, but their shots fell harmlessly. Peasants then fired at Duvignon, and wounded him.'
Duvignon, who belongs to a good family, before leaving Russia, robbed his father.
