Tho children's department, though showing n small ** issues, has now the responsibilityof silpcvvisiiiff the school libraries. Ihe experiment carried on m 9 the Clvde Quay school Ims gnen complete satisfaction to the Mid teachers of that school. Iho extension of to the We hngton SouU School has been authorised and tho books nro almost ready for issue. Other schools have cent ill applications for the extension of these libraries to their schools, and (ho librarian hopes that the present committee will authorise the extension to at least; three of the smaller schools, the children's department is being increasingly used by 'school teachers who. it m. stated, find much material to Old them in their work.
